Why would someone be attracted to men who are either married, have fiancees, or have girlfriends? what does it say the person who is lusting after them??

I think most people attracted to people who are taken are people who like forbidden things. Some people like the rush of doing something taboo and that gets them off. Another explanation might be because they themselves were hurt by a loved one and they decided to become bitter and make other people feel the same pain they felt in the past.
As for what is says about character, there are also a lot of different explanations. Different people have different fetishes. Some people like feet, some people like that leather stuff, other people like that fetish of married/taken men.
Maybe the person who does it was really hurt in the past and doesn't think they can have good for themselves anymore, so in reality they actually want to play second fiddle to some wife/girlfriend.
Personally I think it's wrong to go after somebody who has a significant other, but then again if I was madly in love with somebody and they had a chump boyfriend who treats them like dog food, I might have to jump in and handle business, but not now because I have a girlfriend and she's cool!!

Women see a man that is taken and look at him differently depending on how they feel about the WOMAN the man is with. If we think the woman he is with is our caliber or has the same status as ourselves, we look at the man and think, I can have that guy too. We compare and compete amongst ourselves just as men do. Men that are taken are better kept, usually more in tune with a woman, more sensitive, trained, etc. That is attractive. Its more of a competition amongst women though. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone the behavior but recognize it for what it is.

Some girls may not really want a relationship, so they go after the ones that are taken, this way they don`t have to make a commitment to one guy. Also, I think they like the drama.

Quite simple. This man shows that he is desirable and definitely boyfriend or husband material, since he obviously has at least one woman who thinks so. So the other women latch onto him subconsciously. These women have no self esteem and rely on the judgement of other women (the man's wife) rather than their own. Rather than going and finding a single guy for themselves, they prefer to act like scavenging hyaenas.

well women and men truly want the ones that they cannot have because it is apart of our true, primal nature: we want what is the best for ourselves. if the (wo)man is taken then that must mean that they are good to their sig. others and they are able to maintain a stable relationship. it says that the person is either desiring what they cannot have and hope that they will find just as good, or they have a nature of trying to break up the relationship because one of their serious ones went sour.

sometimes taken guys are more attractive because they dont have that desperate look that (some) longtime single guys have. also some girls may think, if someone is already putting up with him, he's probably pretty good in a relationship.
i dont know why but it seems like whenever i'm taken i get a lot more interest from guys than when i'm single.

Cause they like the challenge of knowing that they can take what belongs to someone else and that gives them the ego boost. THey wanna prove to themselves and others that even thou he is taken I can get him anyway just and ego thing that men and women play.

I think some girls feel comfort with a couple...sense of security maybe..and they like the female touch with the male testosterone..they like to win in competition ..and for the most part they are twisted in the head..

the best answer is everyone wants what they don't have and if you think about it if a taken person will cheat one a loved one then whats to stop them from doing it to you in the long run

I agree with the person below me. People want what they can't get. They want a challenge and are willing to sacrifice things to make themselves happy. It is part of being human.. we grow jealous.
