Because, since the creation of man (Adam) he has been weak where women are concerned. They just aren't strong enough to say no, and it makes them feel good to feel like another woman wants them. I know men who are actually happily married to beautiful, sweet women and they still have affairs.. They aren't leaving their marriage and are still treating their wives great. It's a weakness!! Let me also say, women cheat too. But usually a happy woman does not stray.

Because they have no problems with separating love and sex. For them they are just filling a physical need.
By the way- that is a bit sexist, women cheat too.

You must mean,why do people cheat in the first place.
People in general have over the years come up with theories about why people don't believe in being with one person.
-One theory being,monogomy doesn't come naturally to some people.
-Unsastifactory relationship
-To boost their self-esteem
-They don't exactly think they will find "mr/miss right anytime soon
