My daughter (age 31) stopped talking to me about a year ago. She changed her ph # and email. Everytime I find her, she changes them again. About a yr ago, I called her inlaws and she did call me and actually yelled at me for calling them. I have 2 (possibly more) grandkids from her and I haven't even seen them since 1998. I think her father might be telling her stories from my past. What should I do? Call the inlaws? Email her again? Her latest ph is disconnected.

I dont know exactly what the situation is but I do know that life is too short for bull and continue to do your part as far as attempting to contact her so that you know that u at least tried to get things back right. A mother/daughter relationship is precious and whatever one can do to fix things it should be done. Apparently she's hurt and mad about something but at the end of the day family comes first and if her dad did tell her about your past then oh well it's the past as u said so she needs to let it go. If one of you left this earth then alot of pain would be there simply because u didn't speak the stuff she's mad about wouldn't even matter at all. Call the in-laws again, write her, private investigator, whatever is needed if it's worth it to u because ya'll need to fix this!

You mean you really don't know why she is upset with you? Honestly? Usually we know what we have said or done to cause relationship problems. When she called and yelled at you, didn't she say anything that would let you know why she is so angry? If you think her father is a storyteller, why not ask him what he has been saying. She obviously does not want to be contacted by you and that is unfortunate that you can't work things out with her. Do you know anyone else besides her in-laws (do not call them again and make her even angrier) that you could talk this over with that could then speak on your behalf to her? If you haven't tried writing her a calm, logical and loving letter then do it now and send it to her. I am a grandmother and I know it would awful not to be able to see the children or my children.

I don't know what you did to make your daughter stop talking to you, and hold a grudge for so long, but it must've been something that hurt her deep. When she called to yell at you, did you get to say anything to her, in the way of trying to make things right? If so and she continues to try to hide from you, then, maybe you should just leave her alone for awhile. Maybe she will come around.

She wants to be left alone. She does not want contact with you.
I think she has made that very clear.
This is happening because there is anger, hurt and distrust for you. There are consequences for actions, this is yours.
When she sees fit to forgive you, she might let you back into her life or not. You have to respect her wishes. She knows where you are, if she ants to contact you.
You have lost this battle.

Obviously she doesn't want you to contact her. Leave her alone or you might find yourself getting arrested for harassment or stalking. She is an adult she has the right to NOT have any contact with you.

Let it go until she is ready to talk to you. Make sure she knows how to find you, then get on with your life.
