Come out of the closet and ask the poor fellow. He probably doesn't have a date, and what a shame it would be to find that he ended up going alone. So TALK TO HIM!

Just casually ask him if he is going to the dance...in his answer he may even offer the information of who is going with if anyone. You can say you are still thinking about going but not sure...that gives him an opening to ask you to go with him. But...I don't know...I have always been the upfront type..I would just flat out ask him. Since when does asking someone out make you desperate? Do you assume a guy is desperate if he asks you out? anyway.,..good luck!

First off, if I thought there might be a chance that he is interested in you, I would come right out and ask him. In this day and time lots of women ask a man out. You won't know unless you ask. The best thing about a relationship is talking so if you are interested in this guy the first step is communication.

Go up to him and ask him that you was wondering if he would like to go to the dance with you and throw in there if you don't all ready have a date. Then there goes your answer.

Just ask him if hes going with someone! Then ask him who he wants to go with.. and if he says hes not sure... give him some advice on what kind of girl to go with adding little details that make it sound like you he should be going with.
