Well, I believe "Le gusta" means "You like . . ."

---right?

So, if it is put into question form it would be "Do you like . . . ?"

What's 'te gusta' then? The same thing?

Le gusta can mean two things.

It can be the formal way of saying "you like" for example if you were speaking to an elderly person you don't know really well you'd say ¿"usted le gusta su gato"? meaning you like your cat? (usted is the formal you)

or it could also be it/he/she likes eg. ¿el le gusta su gato? meaning he likes his cat? The lines are a bit blurred and many times you need to base on context to figure out where you're talking about a formal you (usted) or he/she/it. Many times, there will be usted to tell you that its the formal you.

Te gusta is solely used for the informal you. like for example your friend, your brother e.t.c

¿Te gusta tu gato? means you like your cat?

¿comprende? (note i used the formal cause i don't know who you are and you could be an elder. It's a blurred line as to which to use and truthfully i just asked for the preference of the person, whether they want usted or tu)

Te is the familiar way of asking the same question. Le is the formal way with the Usted implied as in Usted le gusta. Either way they both mean the same thing and ask the same question. Le is formal usage that would be for a person that you do not know personally and te would be used for someone you are familiar with like a friend or family member.

Te gusta is the informal (tu), le gusta is the more formal (usted)...either one says the same thing.

I'm pretty sure it's Te Gusta. I've never heard of le gusta but my spanish isn't that advanced. It means "you like"

The both mean Do you like?
The difference is that Le gusta is the formal way to ask for the usted person.
te gusta is informal for the tú person.
