how do i read this guy's emotions?

I really like a guy that's sorta old for me! He's been a distant friend of mine for about a year. I confessed to him that i really liked him and he is very aware of it. I asked him if he liked me back but he kinda ignored the question. He's the type of person that doesnt show his emotions. He's sorta the emo type and is rarely happy. He shows signs of liking me but he also shows other signs. I deffinately don't know how to read them. He uses "codes" when he speaks to me....he speaks very intellectual and i can't understand what he's trying to say and he wont admit what he's saying. Recently he posted a bulletin on myspace (chain letter) saying if you like someone repost this and have good luck....blah blah blah....i thought maybe he was giving me a clue that he likes me back but im so unsure about everything. any advice or do any of you have any knowledge about this?

Why do you need to read a person's emotions?
Just behave your normal self and if you like him, just behave so in your actions. When and if he has any interest in progressing relationships with you, it will show in his behaviour.
Be patient. If you are not prepared to be with someone who's very private in his thoughts and feelings, then you have to give up. It's no use trying to second guess his feelings for you if he's not prepared to share it with you!

dont, they are so ubpredictable, what ever signs they're trying to give u as much as possible try to validate it by askin what it mean or else you'll end up with a lot of excuses, then mixed emotions that will keep ur hopes up, dont let ur guard down unless u r sure how he feels never read emotions that wont be anygood
