wait 90 days that's when you half to wait so the state can process the evidence and they will send you a letter where you will half to go to your local sheriffs office where you truck will be outside and you will half to sign a form saying that you got everything that you had in it before it was impounded and if i were you I would go up to the courthouse and ask the states attourney your story and he should give you a writ of property

Your going to have to pay to get your car out if this is an independant lot. If it is a city run lot, that is, not an independant company contracted by the city you MIGHT make an appearance in court and ask the storage be dropped or ask for arrangements to pay in installments - every city / county could handle this differently.

But to answer your question about who should pay?
Well I guess you'll find out whether they are REAL friends or not.

Good Luck

The proper thing for them to do would to pay the impound fees, but, if you want your truck back, I would pay them and get my truck. BTW why are all of you spending your time in jail? Maybe you need to find different freinds!

If you dont pay, in a week it looks like the $700.00 will go up to 1k!
I would pay it and agree that $700.00 would be steep tuition in the school of hard knocks.
P.s. Get some new friends

Your friends sthould pay. If they do not, you better pay before the storage fees keep going up. If the $700 is more important than your friendship, then you could take them to small claims court to get your money back.

I you loaned your pickup to your friends, then you are responsible. If they took it without your permission, then make them pay.

Your "friends" are responsible. but, as you hopefully can see now-you need new ones...get a new start and get them to pay too.
