You can always use gel or mouse and put it in a ponytail and braid the rest in one big braid while it is wet if you have a scarf or a bandana tie it up and in the morning take the braid & ponytail down and it should fall right into place with waves at the bottom.

If you shampoo at night, don't expect to 'get up and go' in the morning. Almost all hair needs some sprucing after it is slept on. You could try wrapping your hair into a loose bun or braids and wake up, tousel and go with gentle waves. Or, you could just run a straightener over your hair when you wake up. Flip your hair upside down and spritz in some volumizing hairspray to keep your hair from going flat.
PS, in response to the first answerer... DO NOT comb your hair in the shower. The moisture from the shower makes her 'stretch' more and when tugged with a comb can cause breakage. Similarly, do not use a hairbrush on wet hair. Use a widetoothed comb to avoid damaging your hair.

The same thing happens to me. I usually put my hair in a pony-tail and in the morning when i wake up its curlyish.. I have thick hair though. But i still think it may work.
ps. Dont make the ponytail too tight.. because after showers hair is very damagable ( i dont know the right way to say it) but dry your hair with a towel.

Don't comb it or brush it while it's still wet and after your shower, don't blow dry it. Let it air dry, even in your sleep. When you wake up it should be easy to comb.

you're not supposed 2 comb ur hair after a shower b/c i heard that if u do, it gives u split ends...but i do it anyways. You prob. should blow dry it. and if u take an early shower, you should comb it out (split ends-oh well) and let it air dry if you arent gonna blow dry it. and make sure you keep it not so tangly after your shower.

i have the same problem with my thin hair, try either blow drying it before you go to bed or when you get up in the morning, just to make it fluffier and have some shape. i you like, you could also straighten it and put it up in a ponytail, which usually looks good. also try volumizing shampoo if its really flat, i like to use herbal expressions
