My boyfriend swears a lot when he talks and I find it both rude and unnecessary.
Any suggestions as to how I can get him to tone it down a bit?

say calmly "i don't like it when you swear, could you try not to please?" and if he doesn't improve tell him that it makes you feel really uncomfortable an u can't enjoy yourself with him. if he persists, make him eat soap.

Over time he will mature I'm sure. Just talk to him and tell him how you feel. A lot of guys (usually in their teens) go through a swearing stage. Then they eventually stop or don't swear that often

just tell him you find it offensive every time he swears, and would he tone it down because it's not what you want to hear all the time

Tell him it bothers you when he talks like that...Or when you dump him and he wants to know why...Tell him you are tired of his cussing. Also keep in mind that, the eyes are the window to the soul. Language is the window to his intelect...Shallow people use shallow language.

i swear a lot as well. it's just a habit. try talking to him about it. tell him how you feel. he's not a mind reader.

use the pain thing...i cant remember the name but it was tested by feeding dogs and ringing a bell....eventually the dog salivated when the bell rang....its all to do with assosiation.....
everytime he swears pinch him....he'll stop eventually!!! you may have to explain why your diong it though...
or tell him no more head till theres no more swearing!!!!
