I would suspect because she's easy prey for him. 21 year old chicks often times want to be chased by guys a few years older that are accomplished. At 21 he's at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to being out in the clubs. A 17 year old girl will be a much easier catch than a 21 year old in some cases.

He has no business...I have a daughter who is going to be 17 years old and I will not allow her...to hang with a 21 year old....Girls are starry eyed and what ever at that age and do not have the maturity to hang with some guy who is 21.....
If a guy who is 21, hangs with someone 17 years old , he must not be able to get a girl his own age, because they all know the games that he plays and will not have anything to do with him..

Some, but not many 17 year old girls are much more mature and intelligent than most 21 year old girls. I am of that age, and my boyfriend is 28...weve been together for years...age is nothing but a number

Maybe he really likes this girl, even if she is a little younger. It's not that bad of a thing, it's not like she is a lot younger. The only difference with a 21 yr. old is that they can drink.

She has a good personality and makes him feel good to be with. It can be that simple. Or it can be the obvious, he wants something nefarious. It can be that simple too. Find out more about the guy and if it were my daughter, I'd have a long talk with her. Again. About the birds, bees and how not to get hurt, etc. (Not that it might get listened too, but you gotta try)

A 17 year old girl is an adult,for all intent and purpose !! I was a freshman in college at 17 !!

Because maybe he feels more in control being older than being with girls his own age. 4 years isn't bad but, if you're not of legal age he is taking a chance if anything happens with you.

maybe he really likes her or just hoping to get some action. cuz some older guys think that younger girls are more naive than older ones. so they think that the younger girl won't know that what they're doing is wrong. but you never know.

17 year old girls are dumb. its easy tail and they probably havent skrewed as many guys as a 21 year old. hopefully you'll not make that mistake.
