I'm married - and if my husband ever got me household stuff as an anniversary gift, I'd probably stop speaking to him for a whole month and no sex either. If you want to do something nice to help her out with the household stuff, I would suggest paying for a housekeeper to do some major tidying up (it won't cost that much) while you send her out to get a manicure or spa treatment. Figure about $40-$50 for a maid service, and then spend another $40-50 so that she can get a manicure and pedicure while your apartment is being cleaned.
While the maid is cleaning, you can prepare a meal for her. So she'll have dinner waiting for her by the time she gets back from the salon.

Unless she specifically requests houshold items as a gift, it will never be appropriate. AND. . . If she ever does make such a request, have something personal as the "real gift".
The right time to buy household items might be while the two of you are doing dishes or cleaning or cooking, you could remark that it's about time to replace the worn out pot's and pans or vacuum or get a matching set of dishes. Then plan for both of you to select them together.

When yo marry her or for her house warming party. Pots, pans and other household items are not romantic gifts. Always think of a romantic gift when buying your GF a gift. If you want to piss her off then get a household item. Nothing says, I'm not that into you like an household item.

Don't do it!
If you want to buy things for your apartment great, but don't ever give your girlfriend household stuff as a gift. This is a very sensitive issue with most females. Of which I am one.
Give your girlfriend a gift that only she will enjoy.

I wouldn't get her a lot of household items as gifts, if they are needed I might. Otherwise stick to jewelry. Maybe buy a nice frying pan and when she's pretending to like it, tell her to open it and there she will find a piece of jewelry...
Thanks, Mr. Emperor

Dude; if you want to sleep on the couch buy household stuff as gifts. Otherwise; just buy that as needed and stick to flowers and more traditional crap for gifts. You will be better served!

Never..ever..ever...NOT AS A GIFT. You both can go shopping together with shared monies to buy house things but PLEASE never give an appliance or kitchen ware as a gift. If she specifically asks for it..thats another thing...but I never told my man to get me a Waring blender even when I could have used it because pretty things and sparklies are what a girl wants on a special day!!

Don't give them to her for gifts on your anniversary...she would be pissed. Girls want romantic gifts for anniversaries. Since you all live together you all should buy these kinds of things together...not as gifts...who wants a vacuum for a gift?

Volta basically offered one lately. in consumer-friendly words round $one hundred and fifty & the flexibility suction (it really is adjustable) is large. i personally won't be able to see why every person feels they favor to purchase extreme priced vacuum cleaners. Plus i imagine it got here with a 2 three hundred and sixty 5 days assure so that you cant beat that for $one hundred and fifty

Household items that are for the house, not her, are not gifts. They're just things that you both need. Don't do it man!
