The beans are infused with the flavoring, hence the lack of fat. Now hazelnut creamer on the other hand, is FAR from non-fat, unless you get the non-fat creamer of course...

It depends. If you are just talking about the coffee itself, no sugar or cream or anything else, then yes. It's just a flavor added to the grounds or coating the beans.

If you are talking about a hazelnut latte from starbucks or another seller, well it has milk in it. So no it's not non-fat.

It's for that reason I get plain coffee when I go to a shop and have them add sugarfree hazelnut syrup. Then I add non-fat milk and splenda.

hazelnut coffe is nonfat because it is flavored coffee in which the flavors are added during the roasting period. if you add hazelnut syrup to your coffee then it has calories and fat. but otherwise coffee or flavored coffee has zero calories and no fat

Edit: ingredients in DD hazelnut coffee...

a coffee has no fat of course, and only like, 5 calories.
when they are roasting the beans the will have an extract they add at the end of the roasting. i truely dont belive this is like an oil, so thus, no fat. just flavoring the added to the beans after they roasted. you do see that oil on the regular bean too, so that makes me wonder about the natural oils, why would coffee itself harbor no fats? its covered in oils right.

All coffee is considered non-fat. Hazelnut or other.

There's a bit of oil in it but it's a negligible amount.

If you pour cream into it, then it's fattening.

Yes, I agree. There are many syrups used to flavor coffee (or process coffee), prob add lots of calories, but no fat.

All coffee is fat free...it is the milk or cream that you put into it that you need to worry about. Most flavoured coffee is infused with flavour.

It is probably just the essence of hazlenut used and not the actual nut itself? Just a guess. It is my favorite creamer....mmm :) Delicious!
