I consider chicken as meat, does not have to be from an animal, you can call the edible parts of fruit veg and fish meat too.

There are lots of things that have meat. you could say the meat of a nut, or the 'meat' of a fruit. So yea, I call it meat. But i guess some people call it poultry instead of meat.
