I just want to cook the shrimp in skillet, no grill on skewers. And I want to serve the shrimp with a chutney.

Don't use an acid, like lemons/limes/oranges in a marinade for any seafood. The acts as a cooking agent; for example, think of ceviche in any south american cuisine. Your shrimp will turn out rubbery if you do.

That being said, use a little bit of olive oil, garlic, and ginger to marinade the shrimp. Also, take some flavors from your chutney to add more complementary taste...

How about baking in a casserole dish? I have a wonderful recipe for a shrimp Dejonghe.

Lay your shrimp at the bottom of a buttered casserole dish. Spread about 3 crushed cloves of garlic over the top. Than cover with Italian Seasoning Bread Crumbs (a nice thick layer) than take a stick of melted butter and pour over along with about a cup of white wine (enough to moistened all the bread crumbs) May need to add more melted buter and wine if all breadcrumbs are not completely moistened. Cover and bake for about 20-30 minutes (the middle will be bubbling when done).

Enjoy!

Minced garlic, chili Oil, a squeeze of fresh lime, olive or peanut oil, fresh cracked pepper, and a pinch of sea salt. Let it marinate in the fridge a half to two hours then sautee on medium high heat. Depending on the size they shouldn't take too long. Also I prefer to devain but leave the skins on.It adds so much flavor!

marinate the shrimp in a little coconut milk with some salt and pepper, and a pinch of sugar ( or you can use sweetened coconut milk) marinate for about 1 hour and cook. it's super yummy.
