If a star theme is what you want then go for it......it is YOUR wedding day and in the end what it means to you and your husband is all that really matters.
Some helpful hints may be found in your local dollar store believe it or not....scrapbooking supplies. Star hole punches......you can get all kinds of paper red, white and silver paper punch out stars and use them to decorate tables, your guest book.......go to the beach if you have one near by or go to a rock store where you can buy pebbles.......stencil stars on them in black with a silver outline.....you can also add words like LOVE, PEACE, HAPPINESS, FOREVER etc. you could also just spray paint the star stencil in red, white and silver on them.....they really are awsome. I still have the ones from my daughters wedding in my livingroom on display!
You can make out of card stock place settings either table numbers of guests names and use the stenciling on that too!
You are only limited by your imagination! Stop looking on line and start making what you are picturing in your mind. It is your wedding day......half the fun is in preparing for it.....oh and did I mention all of the stress! I am sure all will turn out wonderfully and you will wonder why you ever doubted yourself.
Get your wedding party together.......ok maybe just the girls for a star evening.....have them help you with these projects its a great gals night and they will feel even more apart of your special day!
Wishing you the best of luck and CONGRATS on your up coming Wedding!

I think if you want stars then do stars! It is your wedding and I don't think the star theme is cheesy at all!
For the pillow get a plain ring bearer's pillow and hot glue some of the star garland on it if it is thin. For you guest book go to the craft store and get a plan white on and rubber stamp stars on the cover and on the pages.
You may be able to find star shaped mylar balloons at the dollar store and decorate with them. You can also, if you find them, use unblown star balloon as part of your center piece under a cheap vase with flowers and star balloons and some of the garland. Get a star hole punch and make "star" confetti in your wedding colors and put them around the tables.
Get your ideas on line then go to the dollar stores or craft stores and make them your self.
Congrats & good luck

It's a nice theme, but I can see how you'd have trouble finding things. Orientaltrading.com has a lot of nice wedding stuff for fantastic prices, and I would suggest looking at all their categories as well.
You've done well with the guest book-try to keep finding acceptable items and adapting them to your theme. I'm sure the end result will be beautiful and well worth the time & effort. Besides, you will feel so proud when your guests compliment your choices!
Congratulations & Best wishes.

Make it a night theme!!! You can make star cut outs and cover them in silver foil. You can go to the dollar store to get blue table clothes or red. Make your own pillow and decorate your guestbook yourself with star emblems- which you can pick up at any craft store for under $5.
your wedding will be lovely as long as you think it is! Just be a bit creative- shop the dollar stores- shop for your red stuff right after valentines, and shop for your silver stuff right after the 4th of July (provided your wedding falls AFTER July)...
Those are all pretty colors, and really easy to work with. Hit up craigs list for decorations in those colors, but like i said, make the theme night based, you can add in moons and whatever...
good luck and congratulations!

you can order silver star Mylar balloons from oreintaltrading.com add some regular red and white balloons tie with ribbons and put on weighs to hold them down you can purchase them or make your own I used little hug juice bottles filled with sand covered with cellophane paper. that make very lovely center pieces. you could cut your stars out of card stock paper and cover with foil then glue 2 together so they look neater ,suspend from ceiling or tape to wall. be creative and you have time to make a lot of your own decorations and it's much cheaper than buying them. you can buy a small helium tank at walmart just read to make sure you have enough and don't run out in the middle of decorating. wish you was in my state I would help you out.
The most important thing it to remember It's your SPECIAL day relax and have fun. Don't spend money that you do not have. Most people wont remember your decorations 5 minutes after they leave anyway.
I Love your theme.
GOOD LUCK

I know how you feel. I've had to organise a wedding in just 1 month and I'm getting married at the end of January. Look, the star theme is a fine idea. Remember, you don't have to have stars on everything 'cos it could look like something from Las Vagas.
However, remember the red, white and silver would look stunning! I would suggest that silver be your primary colour 'cos it works well with the star idea.
From my experience, my theme colours changed. It's like a 'go with the flow effect'. Too many people getting married have their 'ideal' colours, but when it comes to the wedding day, it might not 'feel right'. It's okay for your ideas to change.
I suggest go to the paper store and start finding invitation paper. Then, you'll know which colours 'jump' out at you. For example, we originally chose yellow and white, with yellow roses and sunflowers for our theme, but when we went invitation shopping, the burnt orange jumped out at us and our theme changed to burnt orange, exotic plants and bamboo.
Good Luck.

We have invitations called "falling star" at the top it says "one wish, one love" and they are fairly reasonably priced. If you contact me directly, I'll give you an extra discount (on top of our regular 20% off) to help you out with the cost. I looked for other star-themed items. The only thing I can recommend is that for programs, favor boxes, napkins, etc...we could add a star motif to help tie things together. Email at info@abcustom and mention this Yahoo answer.

This is likely gonna sound stupid but I once read in Dear Abby that when your budget is tight you may be able to ask a high school home ec teacher if she can help make stuff for cheaper than store bought, like you star pillow.ect. maybe you can also cut costs of other things to make a greater allowance for the more expensive things. like save money by having throw away cameras instead of professional ect. or buy your dresses at one of those discounted warehouse places. good luck & congrats.

Have you by any chance tried ebay. There are wonderful deals on all kinds of things.
I dont know how people do it, but alot of times they buy items wholesale and resell them cheaper than in stores or online. The same items that you see on the websites.
Give them a try before you toss your theme.
Best of luck!
