IF GOD is not Real and His WORD is not TRUE, why do SO MANY try and prove He doesn't Exsist?

WHY would One try to Disprove SONEONE Who WAS NOT REAL? ? ?

(Romans 14:11) For it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

(Philippians 2:10-11) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth;

(Phil 2:11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Thanks, RR

I don't know of many people that spend a whole lot of time disproving god as proving that religion as a whole was created as a morality play to help society. The problem is when societies that have different religions that they are willing to die for meet. What results is war. I think most atheists would like to see religion as a whole gone so that we can get to the important things and end the majority of the basis for war. All that effort, money, time, etc. could be so much better spent helping humanity instead of destruction.

The burden of proof is on those who DO believe in a god. I, as an atheist, have never tried to prove the existance of a deity. Why would I? I already know that gods don't exist. I can think of many better ways to spend my time than trying to prove such an existance.

As an agnostic, I don't try to prove God doesn't exist. I am aware of the fact that proof of the existence of God is not possible. There are people who will argue about the existence or non-existence of God endlessly, as if there were some verifiable proof on either side. I'd rather not be bothered.

The God of Christianity? I thought that was pretty much proven about 30 years ago. No one of any worth is still on that topic. No one can prove that a creator of some sort does not exist though.

I don't try to "disprove God".

I argue against the irrational and superstitious claims that his followers seem intent on making everyone else believe in. Like "Intelligent Design" or mandatory prayer or Christian-only requirements for public office.

As for your biblical predictions: Don't hold your breath. The Mormons, the Muslims, and the JWs all make the same exact claim.

I don't know....I spend a lot of time trying to prove that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny don't exist....ha just kidding (I was using sarcasm to prove your point....I also don't get it....if God doesn't exist he should just be in the realm of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny....why all the fuss?

So do you never try to disprove the Muslim god, or the Mormon god? Are you saying Zeus must be real because people tried to disprove his existence?

hallelujah!!

the reason why they do that , i believe, is because they know he is there but they are afraid because of their sin!!

it bugs me too when people say that but the only thing you can do is pray and love them!!

1 thessalonians "give thanks in all circumstances"

consider paul as he wrote to the corinthians. even though he was addressing a church full of quarrelers( 1 corinthians 1:11) unlearned and simple people (1:26) "worldly" infants (3:1-3) arrogant egocentrics (4:18), a man sleeping with his fathers wife (5:1) greedy men suing fellow believers (6:1) and childish thinkers (14:20) he still honors them by saying " i always thank God for you because of his grace given to you in Christ Jesus"
so be thankful and loving to everyone!! even thats hard to do,and i would know, its what God wants. and his will be done!!

Because they (non believers) are insecure in their own ways. They believe that they them self are "gods", "rulers of their own destiny", and they want their voice to count for something. Little do they realize how they are actually playing the part of making God's Word all truth. Will never understand why they have to "argue" their point, why they waste their time on trying to prove God wrong. Its not really Christians they are disputing, they are disputing God, our Creator of ALL things. They will come and give my answer a bad mark, but that's ok. We are to love them any way. Some times its hard to love them, but we are to love our neighbors as we love our self.

Better yet, why do so many atheists flood the religion & spirituality forum, considering that atheism is defined as "a disbelief in the existence of deity"?????????
