Save up for the honeymoon of your dreams. You dont really have to go on one RIGHT after your wedding.

I am getting married in June of 08, and we have no real honeymoon planned. We are actually going to stay at a cabin his family owns in another state for a few days and then we are coming home. We will be going on a cruise to Alaska that following year for our honeymoon- which will be our 1 year anniversary as well. We will have enough saved up by then. But with the cost of the wedding, there just isnt a lot left over for an all inclusive trip somewhere.

If you are looking for something right after, go hiking in the mountains, stay in a resort for the weekend or whatever. With you being in Florida, are the trips to the Bahamas expensive?

Good luck with any choice you make!

My husband and I went to Tulum, Mexico. It's on the riviera maya, about an hour south of cancun. We were at the Dreams Tulum, and spent about $2,500 for airfare, all-inclusive 6-night stay, and two day excursions.
