If you feel that you are in any form in danger leave now. Living with a Bipolar person can be hard, even harder if you love them. If you chose to stay with this person get support for yourself. Remember that because you stay today does mean that you locked to this person for life even if you are married. With treatment and med's things will get better but "better" may not be for a while it also may not be what your thinking it is. Also "better" will not last for ever.
As for finding happiness it can not be based on things around you such (friends, lovers, money, cars) it is only found in side of you. Because truthful what do you really control? Your actions, your beliefs. Nothing more, really think about you have no control on how people treat you, you have no control of your feelings, there may even be times when you have no control over your own thoughts. So what do you have control of; your actions or re-action to things. Good luck and remember it does not what we tell you because none of us have to live with or without whom your talking about. Stay safe

I 16 years old and have been diagnosed with Bi-polar like 6 months ago. Thanks people! I was wondering if I was ever going to be able to find a man. Guess not. To be honest I wouldn't want to live with somebody like me. I've been trying to find meds that work for 6 months. But my family loves me no matter what because they know deep down I'm a good person. Good Luck

My old brother (19) has a terrible bi-polar disorder and he seems to be depressed some of the time. What works for me is even if he yells and calls me names, I just try to think of it this way: he's still a person and he just has a behavior problem. The bi-polar person usually just needs a friendly pat on the back to let the other person know that they are there to help, not observe their problem.

It's extremely difficult to be with someone that suffers with Bi-Polar.
I tried & ended up leaving my partner after a year. Don't compromise yourself to much.
