I work at a pharamacy and we get this suggestion all the time...depending on the drug it doesnt matter if you mix it will juice MOST of the time, but call your local pharamacy if you have questions about a particular med, it is faster than calling the dr. most of the time the pharmacist tells you right then, after looking it up. Also if it is a capsule, break it open and pour the contents on a lil applesauce! If it is a pescription item, most pharmacies will flavor the liquid for you!!! You have to ask though! Alot of the amoxicillin antibodics come in chewable bubble gum flavored tablets! But if it is over the counter...mix it will a LITTLE liquid, dont dilute it too much! But my suggestion is to call the pharamcy before you give it to her and ask then make a note of it...who cares if you have to call 3 or 4 times until you know for each med...

That is still efective if your daughter is drinking it quickly and completly. Our doctor suggested juice, applesauce (you can use the colored kind, like berry to hide it) or with a good old (literal) spoonfull of sugar. We add a pixie stick to our daughters medicine and it goes down without a problem.
Just make sure to only use room temprature foods because anything hot or cold can alter the medicines effects. Good luck!

there are over the counter medicines that taste really good! i have a 2 year old granddaughter that hates any kind of medicine. my daughter takes the prescription to a pharmacy that can add flavors. you may want to find out if there is a COMPOUNDING pharmacy near you. they can specially make the medicine in many different forms that your child will like. good luck!

you ought to never combination drugs with nutrition and drink. you may never be beneficial how plenty they have taken in the event that they do no longer drink their finished drink or besides the fact that. you ought to finally end up over dosing or below dosing and your daughter must be taking the prescribed volume. and you mustn't take the medicine the two to get her to do it. as quickly as returned it become no longer prescribed to you and so which you mustn't take it. now and returned you in basic terms ought to make her do it and then supply kisses and cuddles after wards. do no longer deceive her. She's no longer stupid and drugs won't make her become a princess. never label your toddler as undesirable, while that's their behaviour via fact the subject. this could impact their self self assurance. do no longer use undue scare procedures the two eg in case you do no longer take your drugs you will get quite sick and all your tooth will fall out. youthful toddlers won't be able to tell the version between fantasy and fact and could take issues like that quite. this could reason a toddler a great form of stress. in basic terms clarify that the medicine could be useful in making her mouth greater beneficial. As I suggested earlier, you at present and returned ought to stress it. And proceed to offer a great form of cuddles and kisses after.

This may sound weird but I worked at a day care and there was a little girl there that would take her medication just fine if it were in a shot glass. Something about the little glass and her being able to hold it herself and take it helped.

I usually mix my 4 year olds medicine with chocolate pudding or applesauce and he never knows he is taking medicine! Don't let your child see you mixing it though once my son saw us doing it and he flipped out and wouldn't eat dessert for a month or so until we reassured him. lol

it works just fine in the juice, as long as she drinks all the juice. its a wonderfull idea to get her to take her med! I do it with my daughter every time. otherwise, she will just spit it out.
