If it was just a straight highbeam and not blinking, then he's just being an idiot. Or he could've been driving a higher car than yours and simply looks like highbeams. You can always TAP LIGHTLY on the brakes to let him know his beams are on.
However, if he's flashing the highbeams at you, it means you're going too slow and he'd like you to either drive faster, or move over slightly to the right so he can get through.

One lane road ettiquette was broken by the other driver. He shouldn't have been up your rear if you had no place to turn off. You can only just stay safely at your current speed and try to find a place to turn off. So sorry sweetie..some people are just jacka**es.

Not really sure if there's a way to show them. But you can flip up your mirror so its not blinding you. It happens to me all the time, on two lane roads.

I flip my mirror.... they'll get a nasty flash right in the eyes.
If they stay there and dont get the hint, adjust your side mirrors so they reflect his lights right back into his face.
Usually they get the hint pretty quick.. can always slow down, when he passes give him yours and leave em on, or just a flash to prove your point..

I sympathize but don't know what to suggest.
When that happens or if someone is tailgating me, I slow down until they pass me. But one time I did that the guy pulled in front of me and slammed on his brakes and I almost hit him.
Sometimes you just cant do anything about idiots and it can be dangerous to provoke them.
