All he did was hold a stethoscope to my pup's chest for what prolly amounted to five seconds, wiggle her ears *anyone know why?* and then check her eyes on request. Didn't weigh her, didn't get her to even stand up for him, didn't even ask how old she was. Should I be concerned?

He also tried to give her a vaccine she already had, practically had the needle in her before he stopped, even though we were protesting as soon as he was reaching for the needle. To top it off, he reffered to our male dog as a she repeatedly, even after being corrected, and the new female puppy as a he.

Is it a bright idea to go back to this guy? my mom's been going to him for all of our other animals, but I'm more than turned off that he treated our two STRAY cats with better care than my new papillon *yes, PB, or so the papers say* puppy.

The way it looks, you tell him what's wrong with the dog, he just doles out the meds.

Was he drunk or something ? That would have been my first reaction to him . Oh no never would i go back to someone like that especially a professional person. good luck to you and find a new vet and I would have a serious talk with my mother about him treating her animals.

Usually there is more than one vet working in an animal clinic... Maybe try a different vet working at the same place. If you still feel uneasy, I would find a completely different place for you puppy. Your gut feeling is telling you something!

The fact alone that you don't have confidence in him is reason enough to go elsewhere. Otherwise, every time your dog has a problem you will leave the visit wondering if he is right. I would just save myself the worry and find someone I trust.

No, I would go and see another vet. We have seen the same vet for over 15 years, good friend of my father's. Saved many of our pets.

Sounds like a really bad vet. I would find a new one if I were you.
