I'm making sloppy joe for dinner(for which in one hour by the way) and didn't notice that I had used hickory sauce Bold BBQ flavor. Now its too spicy for me and my guest. What can I used to downsize the flavor. I had a few things here but I will go to the store if I have too.
Help..... Thank you in advance..

Mix in something a little sweeter to tame. Ketchup, brown sugar...but in small doses. You can always put in more, but you can't take it out!

Well, I like the ketchup advice as well... Sweet does help, but sometimes sweet is just a turn off. Also, one of the oldest trick in the book is to add a "fat" to cleanse the palate, you know how you dip spicy buffalo wings into ranch dressing to tame the spice? (The spicy particles are attracted to them fats and are "washed" away). One of my favorite things is Cream of Mushroom. It will add creaminess to the BBQ flavor, and some elegance and class to the sloppiness of one of my favorite past times!

Hm...a bit of brown sugar? You can try that and if it's gross, just go to the store or order in, lol.
