A handful of girlfriends are getting together for dinner tomorrow at my place. I am a great cook and enjoy cooking new and unique dishes. The hitch? I am a poor college student. So, any ideas for a healthy and resonably priced dinner? (No pasta or other carb based dishes)

Chicken stir fry is so fun and good and inexpensive. Involve the friends with the chopping, mixing, stirring, have some rice on the side and sugar free vanilla pudding with mandrin orange segments on top for dessert--with fortune cookies if you can spring for them!

If perhaps it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
