my husband and I have one running car now...his 13 year old suburban just gave up the ghost last night and we NEED to buy a second car pretty soon. our credit isn't too great but it's not terrible either. we own our own home and have never been late on payments and just refinanced 3 months ago. should we look for something new? we don't have any $ to put down on a car....does anyone know how difficult it is to get into a new or used car without anything down and with not so perfect credit?

I dont know where you are, but JD ByRider (commercial dealer)deals with bad credit and they also say if you can drag it or pull it in they will give you trade in. Also some car places will also give you an advance on your tax refund you are getting back, so you can take in your W2's and they will figure it out and you can use the tax refund for a down payment, even though you have not filed yet. I think even H&R Block will do this type of deal as well.

Guess what....its tax time!

Have you tried searching on the net. There are a lot of lenders advertising here and you may find one that suits your circumstances. You might be looking at a consolidation loan.
