OK, maybe I should have been more clear when asking this question. So let me clear this up now!:
My puppy is only 4 weeks old and lives with her mother. (who is not even in the same state that I am). The owner of her mother called me to inform me this was happening and asked me if I knew what type they were. AS I WAS POSTING THIS QUESTIONS THE PUPPIES AND THEIR MOTHER WERE ON THEIR WAY TO THE VET! I posted this question hoping someone would know the type of worm to put our minds at easy until they got back from the vet. My biggest worry was heartworm (since I do not know what they look like) , as those can be deadly. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THOSE THOUGHTFUL ENOUGH TO HELP ME WITH MY CONCERN.
To all of you that felt you had to have some rude comment:
People post these questions with real concerns! If you don't know the awnser that is ok, but don't awnser the question just to get a few points. Your rude comment do not help the situation! ALL IT DOES IS SHOW HOW CHILDISH PEOPLE CAN BE!!!!

They are roundworms. You need to get the appropriate dewormer from your vet. Do NOT use OTC dewormers..they are ineffective and can be very dangerous to your dog.
As for heartworms, the only way to know if a dog has these is by way of a bloodtest..they aren't visible in stool, they don't live in the digestive tract, they don't get vomited up, also puppies under 6 months old don't have them since it takes 6 months for the microfilia from an infected mosquito to present itself.
***** If the breeder you are getting this puppy from is not familiar with roundworms which is the most common worm in puppies I suggest rethink buying from them..this is a major red flag that shouts irresponsible breeder who doesn't know proper newborn puppy care and should not be breeding*****

Puppies need to be wormed every two weeks until they are 12 weeks old and then every month until they are 6 months old. For the rest of their lives they need to be wormed every 3 months. If the breeder was doing it right and worming every 2 weeks it means the last worming was at 6 weeks of age and you haven't wormed the pup since then. That's why she has worms. They're probably round worms. If she has fleas she will also have tape worm. The back yard breeder should also have told you what the pup was being fed so you didn't introduce a new food and upset the pup's stomach when you brought her home. I gather you haven't had this pup to the vet to get her shots either so best you do so ASAP and while you are there get a good quality all wormer from the vet and also a flea preventative. Then administer these meds as per vet instructions. Don't waste your money buying worming products from a pet store. Take your puppy to the vet.

The worms you are seeing are ascarids, better know has round worms. Very common in puppies. There are medications that you can buy over the counter, but they often aren't strong enough to do the job. Any type of worms can make a puppy very sick in a short amount of time. To get the proper medicine I would take your puppy to a vet ASAP. Also it is not uncommon for a puppy with worms to have more than one kind. There are a number of worms that are microscopic, not visible to the eye. Take a stool sample with you to your appointment.

Make an appointment at the vets , depending on your time zone you might be able to get there tonight and get the first dose of medicine in him. Also, make sure you wash your hands really well if there's any chance you've come in contact with them while cleaning up. Also, mention to your vet if you have any other animals in the house since sometimes they too need a medicine when one pet has a parasite.

It does not matter what kind of worms they are, only that they are worms and that the puppy is throwing up. Take it to the vet and ask your questions there!

theyre lg round worms and if the dog is so infested that its throwing them up i'd get it to the vet asap to be vet wormed by the way ive never had anyluck with nemex or nemex 2 your best bet is vet wormer either panicur or strongid both of these get rid of lg round , hook worms , and tape worms if used correctly make sure to ask your vet about proper dosage amount and how many days in a row to worm the puppy with strongid is normally 1 day

Roundworm - The most common of internal parasites beside Tapeworms, roundworms frequently infect pets. They look suspiciously like thin spaghetti noodles.
Get him to the vet!

Probably tape worms! TAKE THE PUPPY TO THE VET!!!!!
This could kill your puppy if you don't take care of the problem now!
If left go you cross over from pet parent to animal abuser!

You don't even have to go to the vet. You can get the medication to treat it at most pet stores, feed stores or on line. Try www.drfostersmith.com
You can order medication from there and have it overnighted.
By the way...ALL puppies are born with worms, they get it from their moms. It has nothing to do with holding it too much. That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
