I am fully aware that Yoga is INDEED a form of Hindu meditation - which is in fact a self seeking practice and not a preach til they bleed for you philosophy. I don't hate Christians man - my mom is one etc...what I hate is NARROW MINDED CLOSED HEART FOLKS like your good self....thanks for sharing...stop by another time.

I'll bet the same lady is fighting to keep prayer IN school. It's okay to teach religion in school as long as it's Christianity.
Let alone the stupidity of the yoga aspect, but it's as if studying Hinduism is gonna hurt anyone. For goodness sake, they may learn something....can't have that!

The devil will always find a way to limit the minds of man to a false belief. Yoga was founded from Hindu and Buddhist belief that discipline the mind in fighting evil in himself. None of these two religions demonize other religions because they consider them as another road to the right path.
Evil lurks in the other religions that poisons the mind in order for many to stay in ignorance.

The same thing happened here in Ontario about 10 years ago when a local Separate School fired a outside Yoga instructor because some of the parents believed that she was "seducing" students into New Age or Pagan beliefs. There was quite the stink about it because the students protested her dismissal.

The reason why only a handful are able to see is that it takes effort and time to learn, educate, open the mind and go beyond our sense of self-cherishing thoughts that feed the ego monster and keep it believing that only their concepts are the right ones. Unfortunately it's not exactly a popular thing to think "outside the box". It's easier and more popular to fall back on ignorance and "faith" rather than do any analytical thought and so forth, and then clump together socially to protect that pov. It's all deluded thinking.

Yoga *is* a reilgious practice for those who take a holistic approach, that mind and body are one and the same. However, Westerners are not inclined to think that way, and I've yet to see yoga taught in *any* Western setting that had any purpose other than stretching and relaxation. Certainly no Hindu gods involved. I've even gotten my quite Christian mother into it after she had surgery on her hands for the third time--she's had very few problems since.
