Yes, that is why Paul told us not to forsake the gathering together of ourselves.

I use to go to church & I had this feeling of crawling out of my skin, I couldn't sit still & want to leave. I would drive to a quiet place & pray & read scriptures. I don't read scriptures anymore, & I don't go to church, but that doesn't mean I have given up on my spiritual quest. I decided to follow the 10 commandments. Respect my parents & keep the sabatith day holy were my 2 issue's. I have seen a difference in my life & am happier for it. I believe in constantly trying to be a better person, pray for the people I can't stand & believe me it's hard.

I can see where church can be beneficial, a support group of people, friends, I miss that, but that is it. But I see where a person can feel like they are never good enough, they can be judged by the people that are suppose to be their friends/support. Some might become arrogant & think they are better than everyone & when they start to look down on people it is where the benefits are lost.

Dear Camera,

No, I do not attend church services. I once di attend but now we are at the end of the church age. I know that this sounds anti=christian but one must study the word of God to understand the spiritual meaning. During the time the Lord was using the nation of Israel, He brought judgment upon them because they had departed from the truth-that was in 709 B.C. The Lord used Judah also but they departed from the commandments of God also and henceforth, God brought judgment upon them in 587 B.C, with the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon. These were examples to us what would happen if the NT churches departed from the commandments of God. As you well know, approximately 60 years after Christ had gone back to heaven, the churches were already in trouble-see Revelation 2 & 3. The Lord is so longsuffering that the church age continued until 1988 A.D. At that time, because of disobedience to God, the Lord turned the churche over to satan (2 Thessalonians 2). The Holy Spirit has left the churches and so it is IMPOSSIBLE that anyone can be saved there regardless of the accuracy of the preaching. Because stan is ruling in the churches, God has commanded His sheep (true believers) to leave the local churches (Matthew 24:15, 16. The Lord calls the churches "Babylon" now because they are ruled by satan (Revelation 18). If you read verse 4 of that chapter, the Lord is commanding His sheep to get out of the churches because He is bringing judgment on them. If you read Revelation 11:8, you will see that the Lord calls the earthly representation of the kingdom of God (churches) Sodom and Egypt.

Yes I go to church. I love the church we attend. My kids have learned a lot. Our preacher is very good and has so many life applicable messages. For those that think it is a waste of time or think it is all about money, try it sometime. No one puts a gun to your head and says you have to give money or you can't leave! Maybe you just don't like being face to face once a week with your own sins?

I've gone for many years, although I've been away from a regular church for about six months recently. Our church is closing and the last experience we had with trying to find a church near our home was a disaster. As soon as we find one that feels like home, I'll be there every Sunday.

We (myself, my husbad, and our son) *try* to be there each and every service that we can be. And yes, I believe 100% that going to church is very beneficial.. depending on the church, and if you are hearing the true Word Of God.

sure why not, beats sitting in front of this boob tube. Never did hurt me or anyone I know. good place to meet people. Since all they are connected with is basically good why not go? Our society is based on Christian principles so it's like being an American. Don't give the crap about freedom of religion, it's freemdom of religon, not freedom from religion. Those that don't practice fine but leave the rest alone to do there thing. See you on Sunday

I have not attended a church service since Palm Sunday of 1982, and then it was my mother making me go for the experience.
