the choice of what to get is really something that you should decide for yourself. BUT the choice of an artist is something that you can definitely get help with. DO NOT just go to any local shop. not every tattoo artist is an artist or talented. most tattoo artists aren't that talented in my opinion. it is horrible to see mediocre tattoos and know that if the person would have spent a little more time researching and a little more money on quality art they could be totally happy with thier tatttoos. you have no idea how many people find out me, my husband, friends and even my dad have a tattoo. they say "i have a tattoo too!! let me see yours" and after they see our tattoos they don't even want to show us their tattoo. why? because the comparison is like night and day and their tattoo looks like a little kid did it. if you have any questions or need help finding a good tattoo artist feel free to email me.

Do your research. Visit a couple tattoo shops. Check out their work. Most tattoo shops have books with pictures of tattoos by the artists. When you find one that you like and feel comfortable with start talking to the artist. Explain to him what you want (design, size, color, style). He'll sketch out a few things for you. If he's any good he should be able to hit the nail right on the head. After he's given you a sketch ask him if you can take it home. Give the tattoo some good thought and try to picture it on your body. Imagine it being there for the rest of your life. If you know it's what you want then go for it! Your artist will tell you how to take care of it. Make sure to listen to his/her advice. You want your tattoo to heal up beautifully. I got my first tattoo at 18. I love my tattoo artist and now I have 4 pieces of work from him. They're all very meaningful to me. Good luck and remember...It's going to hurt!

You need to give this some serious consideration. this is a lifetime committment. so having said that, personally i wouldn't do the sexy vampire thing just yet.
tiger? yeah..............what about a tiger cub? tattoos are generally about various stages of your life....well here you are still a young person so a tiger cub would be appropriate.
i would think something smallish for your first tatoo would be a good thing............whatever you choose........remember......you will be looking at it for the next fixty - sixty years or more! it is a lifetime decision!
good luck with it and have fun!

When you go to the tattoo place, you can ask them to draw something for you. I would suggest something simple, so if you dont like it, you can always add to it later or cover it up with a different tattoo. Also, it won't hurt that much, just depends on what part of your body you get it on.

well id go with a tiger because that is a little more believable than a "sexy vampire" and you wont regret getting a tiger nearly as much if you regret stuff allot...
