I just want to know if there is way to use the surround sound speakers as my computer speakers without burning songs onto a cd.

Can't use just the speakers. Can use a Y plug that plugs into headphone jack of the pc and has two male rca plugs on the other end. Plug this into the AUX jacks on your reciever and play the music on your computer through your surround receiver set on the AUX mode. Wish I had the time to try this, but you might be able to split the Y plug wire in two and wire this wire directly to the speaker wires

Eziest way is if you hv a home theater system/receiver, it will also amplify and protect your soundcard in case your speakers are large and require more power to "drive" them. so you can do one of these,
1-look at the back of it and see what kind of sound input plug will fit on it. just hook your pc out sound to the sound input or AUX on your receiver. that's it. or,
2-use a belkin wireless fm transmitter, which you plug into your pc's sound card. select a channel and on your receiver tune into that channel as you would a radio station and there you don't have to mess with any wires.

They make a cable that has a 1/8 stereo connection to rt and lt rca...plug the 1/8 into your speaker outlet and the rca's into your aux in on your alternate sound system and tune it to aux and there you go.....

Creative Sound Blaster has an external sound card that plugs into your computer via usb cable... from there the external soundcard has a line out that you can plug into your stereo with typical patch cables that are commonly used to hook dvd players, vcrs',and the like to your tv....viola now music played on your computer will play through your stereo! works like a charm...
