if you are medically depressed you need to go to a doctor and get the correct medication. A lot of ppl mistake depression as just an emotional issue, whereas it is in fact a physical issue. Your brain is not producing the right hormones for your body to function in a normal way, so you need to take the right medication to balance your hormones.

One fast way before you visit the doctor, go exercise, it makes your brain produce endorphins, which is a natural happy substance in your body.

That depends on what type of feelings you are having specifically? Do you just feel like not being bothered and down? Feeling hopeless? Desires to hurt yourself or someone else?
Everyone has a bad day or two and it could just be bundles of stress getting the best of you. Try hard not to think it is depression. But many people confuse the two too often.
To get out of the dumps you can exersise which raises certain chemicals in your brain that increase happiness, listen to soothing music, take a bath/shower, write your thoughts down in a journal.
Keeping a journal may even help you discover common activities that take place on these down days that you are having.

Call your town or county mental health hotline. You'll find it online or in the yellow pages. You can also talk to your pastor if you have a trusting relationship already, or to a favorite teacher (if you're a student). If you're in college, go to your campus health clinic.

Get to a friend if none of the above are available.

Good luck.

See your doc. Depression is treatable but only if you ask your doc for help with it.
