I'm trying to buy my first car and i found a few that say "Cat C" and "Cat D" and i have no idea what it means...little help?

i guess CAT C & CAT D are insurance groups. have a look at this page, it may help..

They are both classifications of insurance write offs. Not as scary as it sounds as due to the cost of repairing thme insurance companies write cars off for minor damage if the cost of repair excedes a certain proportion of the cars overall value.

Cat C is a higher level of damage than Cat D. I've seen Cat D cars been written off just needing a replacement wing and a light.

Cant believe someone who claims to have been in the motor business like harley doesn't know something as basic as that.

Cat c is catilctic converter, not sure on the other one
