Me and the guy I've been seeing long distance don't agree on being in a relationship or not (he says the distance is too hard). I tend to agree though, but we both love each other. Since he is the one that is saying he doesn't want the "relationship" I don't want to push things anymore and I want him to come to me. He already sounds like he might be ready to give up on being with me becaue I have just kept pushing for a relationship. I don't want to continue with this, but I want to stay in touch...and you never know what could happen down the road.

So...I have written a short e-mail...Is this okay to send or sould I nix it? It just says that I accept what he said and we both have our own lives. Maybe we can be friends, and if not, good luck with everything....

Well you are thinking in the right direction ,,,, It wouldn't hurt at all to stay on friendly terms with each other and what you say you said in your message to him is perfect ,,,, You can never have too many friends ,,,, It doesn't hurt at all to keep a line of communication open with him ,,,, Just be up front with him ,,,, Be honest and open with him ,,,, It doesn't hurt to let him know where you stand ,,,, The only other suggestion I would make is that it would probably be better to tell him face to face or at least talk to him on the phone ,,,, Allot more can be said both verbally and emotionally than anything sent through the mail ,,,, The mail ,,,, which ever you use ,,,, can't convey near what a verbal conversation can ,,,,

Did you discuss between the two of you that you might date other people for awhile? Maybe you should if you haven't and see what he says? I'd think that would give him what he wants and if he comes back to you,, well the relationship would be....

Let me ask you this? how can you both possibly be in love when you haven't even seen one another? Oh...alright...a picture or two. maybe of him...maybe not.
So...not having the oppurtunity to meet several times, discuss likes and dislikes in person and basically read one another's body language and get to know one another over a few meals and dates....how can you be "in love"?
This ought to be interesting.
