I homeschool in KY. There isn't anything really to it. You have to inform the office of Pupil Personnel within 2 weeks of the start of the school year to let them know of your intention to home school. You have to keep an attendance tally ( I use our wall calendar) that states your child was "in attendance" for 189 days. You have to make sure to teach Math, Reading, Writing, Science and Civics (I always assume that means "Social Studies"). A child doesn't have to be enrolled until the year of their 6th birthday. There is no testing or anything like that.
