In Excel, how do you add percentages for example
RETAIL PRICE = WHOLESALE PRICE+50%OF THE WHOLESALE PRICE?

assuming that "WHOLESALE PRICE" = A1
and "RETAIL PRICE" = B1
in B1 cell type:
=A1*1.5

The simplest method would probably be to have Retail Price = Wholesale Price * 1.5

The previous two answers are correct, but are you sure that you want to add 50% of the wholesale price? That gives you a 33.33% gross margin, since 100% is two thirds of 150%, and the difference is one third.

Now you can create Wholesale prices in row 2 and copy (from B3) and past (in row 3) Retail prices.

(Note: the "$" for "$B$1 hold the offset relative for when you copy/paste).

Easy..... : =WHOLESALEPRICE+(.05*WHOLESALEPRICE)

Put that into the formula space and that will give you RETAILPRICE
