my parrot has trouble breathing. I have taken him to the vet but they told me that he is very sick and each visit is very expensive,he also only eats seeds. What can i do .

Little one---What did the vet tell you to do??? Can't help you without knowing more information than you have offered. Does he have a respiratory infection, or just a respiratory condition??? You must seek a good avian vet's help, because the poor little guy depends on you to take care of him. The cost is irrelevant in saving his life, and keeping him healthy!!! If you can't provide for him, get some help from the SPCA, or your local animal shelter ASAP---Birdman

It sounds like your parrot possibly has some kind of respiratory infection. Parrots are very fragile and by the time something this obvious comes up (trouble breathing) it means the animal is very seriously ill. Do the right thing and get it treated. Borrow the money, whatever you need to do. Think of something FAST. Your bird will die otherwise. It's just that simple. The longer you wait the more the bird's chances for survival decrease. MOVE.

What has your vet said? Did he take any cultures and/or examine your bird's droppings? These things need to be done so that a diagnosis can be made and the proper antibiotic can be administered.
Yes it can be expensive but in the end life holds more value than money.

find out exactly what he has some respiratory conditions cannot be fixed and it would be cruel to keep him alive whilst others just need antibiotics, parrots are expensive birds to keep you should really have thought about this when you got him.
