If it needs to be rebuilt, a Transmission shop will give you about 50.00 for it..That is if the old torque converter is with it..

There is not really a very high demand for them..I recently purchased a rebuilt one and the company did not even want my old one..

you can normally buy a transmission that needs to be rebuilt for the core charge the core on a 700 r will be about 150 maybe a little less but be warned this tranny is becoming very popular with people building high performance cars because of the overdrive and you may have to pay a little more because of supply and demand

the easiest solution is look on the top of the case for a K this is a stronger case and should be worth more. Anyways just call your local hole in the wall tranny shop, not aamco or a large named inflated head place who will give you a bs anwser.

the tranny you have is a good one while it works best i comprehend because of the fact i had one in an 88 iroc camaro. it must be in the valve physique interior the tranny if no longer then the torque converter isn't producing the mandatory tension for the ingredient to shift and regrettably the only thank you to tell is to have a tension examine completed at your close by transmisssion shop. good success because of the fact they charged me 1000 greenbacks to rebuild mine. attempt to9 visit a repuable shop for the restore.

I bought one last summer from a salvage yard. Good case, status unknown, for a rebuild.
I paid 75 bucks for it.
Rebuild kit was 195
6 hours later sold it for 750
Hope this helps

Like on of the other people said, if it needs rebuilding its basically worthless, you are looking at something like 1500 for a full rebuild.
