Just go to the airlines main page and most of them will have a search area, type in "Pets" and it will bring up a match on the rules for that airline with traveling with pets. Good Luck!

Depends on (1) where you are going (domestic flight or international; and (2) the airline you travel with.
International flights usually charge as if the catcarrier were luggage x 2. For example, if the weight of cat + carrier is 20 lbs then they will charge you as if you checked in an extra 40 lbs. Some airline thouh have a set fee like $200.00. When I fly with my cat on an international flight, I usually pay $300.00.
Domestic flight: JetBlu charged me last time $50.00 on a flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta. I bought a special cat in-cabin cat carrier from them at the check in which cost me an additional $20.00. Its dsigned to fit under your seat on the plane. Other than the fee and the cat carrier, their are no other things you need to get.
If you are flying overseas, there's a bit more involved. You need to call the embassy of the country you are entering and ask their requirements on bringing in a live animal (quarantine, shots, vet documents). Once you find out, go to your vet and he will make all the documentation necessary. You need to get the approrpiate crate or kennel too - the airline will tell you dimensions. Usually, the kenel must be big enough so that the cat may satnd and lay down comfortably.
If traveling overseas, you really must call the airlines and call the embassy and get to the vet.

The last time I checked the fee was $80.00 and the carrier has to be a certain size (can't remember exactly) but it will need to fit under your seat. I would also recommend a very very mild tranquilizer because most cats do not travel well at all. You can get that from your vet.

It depends on the airline and if you are carrying the animal with you in the cabin or sending it as cargo. The last time I flew with mine it was $150 each to send them as cargo and $50 to carry them inside the cabin. If you have more than one you will need to have one person per cat. Most airlines will only allow 2 cats in the cabin.
For inside the cabin the carrier must fit under the seat. For cargo the animal must be able to stand and turn around. They must also have a food and water cup attached in case they have to be feed. You will also have to send a small bag of dry food attached to the carrier.
You will have to make a reservation for your cat. Check the web site for the airline you want to fly. They have special numbers to make reservations for pets. You can also get information concerning shipping them.
Southwest Airlines is the only one I know that does not allow animals in the cabin or as cargo.

This is dependant on the Airline. If your cat fits into an "approved" type carrier under the seat in front of you and meets the requirements . . . shots etc. then it is "usually" about 20.00 - 40.00 each way. You will really need to contact the Airlines you have chosen regarding the regulations/ stipulations these days.
