how do you fix a crack on the screen of a 42"plasma panasonic?

You don't. I once worked with Sears repair and it is actually dangerous. If you were to want to have the screen itself replaced..it would unfortunately cost more than what the TV was itself or close to it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

swap it out for a new one
