Depends on how elaborate you want the wedding. The more complex the longer it takes. If you go simple and elegant I would say 2 months max. It all depends on who (who you want to cater, who you want to preform the ceremony Etc.), how much(Do you want to do all the traditions or just a few simple ones, will there be 10 people or 100, do you have the money), when(are you getting married at the most desirable time of year and is everyone already booked) and how many(small is a relative term for some it may be 10 for others it may be 100).

Depends on how many are coming and what you want.

If it is as simple as a small family wedding, with the dinner at a fancy restaraunt nearby, then i say under 3 months. If it is 100 people, i say give it at least 6-9 months so you can book a venue large enough.

Just remember- most choice, or prime, wedding locations book up fairly quick during the wedding seasons so if you have your heart set on one place you need to plan at least that area early. That also goes for haveing your pastor.preacher/officiant. They have schedules at least a year in advance depending on the size of the church.

you can plan a wedding in in as little as one month but it all depends on the date. For example I want to get married July 7 2007 is going to be a very popular day so i needed to start planning last year if i wanted to find a nice place. Now if you are looking for a not too fancy place then you can book down a place know and plan the rest little by little. But just find the place now that is the most important part. The rest comes by itself.

I started a year ahead of time but my wedding was pretty big. If u are planning a small wedding, I say about 4-5 ahead of time. I have a friend who had a small one, and she planned hers in 1 month! That's pushing it though...
Good luck!! :)

You don't need long at all. I had a fairly large wedding and had 8 months to plan it, but I did it in about 5. You can do it in one month or less if you want to though!!!

the common wedding ceremony is nearing $30,000. right here in Louisiana this is 20,000 simply by fact of lower priced of residing and such. My cousin had a hippie form wedding ceremony for $7,000 (customarily to hire this blues band) at LSU with a gown my grandmother made. be certain to enable a 365 days (6 months to allow suggestions to mildew of our appropriate wedding ceremony and six months to e book a super form of those human beings). in case you like a particular region, be certain you e book it ASAP . i'm finding out authentic now between a French Quarter wedding ceremony or a Disney international fort wedding ceremony (2009). i'm going to be paying for the entire undertaking myself so i'm actual saving all i will. If i'd desire to grant you with some suggestion...in case you elect it to be memorable, the two have a extensive black-tie, ballroom dancing wedding ceremony or a hippie/sea coast wedding ceremony. each thing interior the middle in simple terms seems mediocre.

It's not about how long.

It's about, "Is the reception hall/ restaurant available for the day you want?" If it is you can pull it all together in 2 weeks if you had to.
