No recipe, but I buy Eukanuba canned puppy food and use that to stuff the Kong toys. To add an extra challenge for my pup, I sometime add layers of kibble in the canned food and then freeze the lot. Keeps them busy for hours, and it replaces part of their normal food for the day so I'm not feeding him extra junk.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMDxD
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Cheapest & simplest is peanut butter thinly smeared on the inside. It is quite high in fat but the amount used is minimal.
I use some of the dogs dried food mixed with a little yogurt to make frozen kongs - especially during teething.
Mashed potato is another good filling. It sets firm in the fridge, can be flavoured & can be frozen. ( & is low fat!)

You can try using peanut butter, or even the Easy Cheese that comes in a can. Be careful with the Kongs, Baldo von Wolkenstein died from swallowing part of a kong, they started making ones that can show up on x-ray after this boy died.

I gave up on the kong - instead I use a plastic container, very diluted chicken stock (it can be salty - so really dilute it!) and freeze it. Makes a great iceypole. Just tip it on the lawn. I sometimes put his toys in it and freeze them or even his left over dinner! It is easy to tip out too - I dont give him the container.

I fill mine with Naturediet and freeze - it stinks though so you need to put the kongs in a bag in the freezer.
