Age does not matter, either way, whether the man is younger or the woman. If the desire is there, go for it.

If she were underage, I would think there was something wrong with you. But since you are both legal...all's fair in love. And some of the best relationships out there have a huge age gap between partners...and that does not necessarily mean the woman is the younger of the two. I've seen it both ways. Take it slow, though. Even if you were only 25, I think 21 is awfully young for someone to get serious. She may not be on the same page as you are. Time will tell. Good luck.

PS - FORGET what that bonehead a couple of answers above me says. WHO THE HECK RETIRES at 45?? Or even 50?? Not to mention, at that age, you are more settled and financially stable than you were at 21. You probably had no house, no car, no job security, and if you had kids so young, were likely working two jobs to support them. I am now 43. I own my own house which is paid off. I own a brand new car for which I paid cash. And I travel to Europe three times a year. How many people could do that in their 20's? So I say, forget what that yapper says...obviously, they have no experience in being more than 20 something, or they wouldn't talk so dumb. If anything, you are more prepared for children as you get older, not less. And you are also more patient with them then you would be in your 20's. So don't let that bad advice have any influence on your decision.

To a certain extent age doesn't matter, as you can't choose who you fall in love with. I think if you fancy her there is no harm in getting to know her better, going out on a few dates, seeing if you're compatible, you don't have to rush into a relationship. After that if you really do like her then go for it. But if you're not sure then other people might take issue with the age difference so if this is going to matter to you more than she does then don't go there. If neither of you are bothered about the age difference then go for it. If it does get serious however, you're going to have to talk about what you both want in the future, as you are different ages you may want different things, e.g. she might want to go travelling whilst you have a job you're happy in and don't want to leave. Good luck!

No there are things that are more important than a age gap. It could become a problem if you let it. If you feel insecure and not deserving of her than that could create a problem. If she doesn't have an issue then go for it. Love is rare so seize the day!

Good luck!

If you both are in agreement and she is a mature sort of 21 year old, and you are a young 37 year old, go ahead, what has age got to do with it anyway.. Live, Laugh, Love..

Go out with her. Just make sure it's really you she fancies and not your paycheck. If the two of you really have feelings for each other that's all that matters.

if everyone is happy and as long as she is a grown up, not still a giggly girl/easily influenced personality nothing wrong at all, I'm 45 and my partner is 21 next week we could not be happier and so are our families good luck

Go with it, age shouldn't have anything to do with it. Love no matter what age you are, love will hit you in a way that you never had felt that way.

It's only a problem if you or she has an issue with it. If you get to the point where you're okay with it, then it's fine. You're both adults and can make the decision about who is right for you.
