Lots of nice restaurants around Honolulu/Waikiki
LA Mariana Restaurant
50 Sand Island Access Rd, Honolulu, HI
(808) 848-2800 Great food and atmosphere
Shorebird has a great breakfast buffet-- right on Waikiki Beach
But for the really good stuff.....you have to explore the island. These are some on the east side of the island on the way to the north shore.
Buzz's Steakhouse..... Kailua
Boots & Kimo's for breakfast in Kailua
(Banana pancakes with Macadamia syrup)
You will wait on the benches outside, but this is to die for)
Pinkie's for dinner....Kailua Mokapu Rd. & N. Kalaheo. Try the seared Ahi tuna.
Giovanni's Shrimp Truck...... on Kamehameha Highway in town of Laie on the way to the north shore......Look for the truck... best damn shrimp anywhere!!
Stop for drinks at the pool bar at Turtle Bay resort. The view is amazing.
Kua Aina Sandwich.... Kamehameha Hwy in Haliewa (north shore) You've NEVER had burgers like this!!!
And don't miss Matsumoto's shave ice in Haliewa.....the original...and still the best!

The Shorebird Restaurant at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Hotel is a great restaurant!! It is right on the beach and it is completely open so you get the breeze from the ocean! If you hit it just right you can watch the sunset go down. Also, at night they have a live musical group in, it is not to loud just kind of nice to listen to. I am not sure if this is something you and your husband would like (when went here for our Honeymoon and we loved the concept) but you order what kind of meat you would like and then you have a chance to go up to a buffet (which doesn't just have salad). Soon after that they bring your meat out, however you get to cook your own meat!! They have this huge grill with BBQ sauce and other seasonings and you can do it your self. I would really suggest the kibobs, they were fabulous. I think they have a bar there to!! We ate there two nights in a row it was so good and i have heard great things about their break fast but I don't have personal experience of it thou!! Have fun!

Here is a list of all the places we ate while we were over there & all of them were good:
Pacific Beach Hotel has a restraunt in it right when you walk through the front doors you will see it & it has a good breakfast buffet, but I especially liked the meal that they had of a night. It was a buffet of all you could eat crab and prime rib plus they had all kinds of other stuff. it was really good & worth the money.
Cheesecake factory was excellent too! They had a HUGE variety of foods and all kinds of cheesecake.
La Cuarochas (spelled wrong) it was a mexican restruant about a block or two off of the main road by Waikiki Beach. It was okay but not as good as some of the mexican restraunts we have in the states.
Jack in the Box - economical and very clean and good. Alot like a Mcdonalds only better!
I cant think of where else we ate...but everything over there is good...just ask people and they will tell you where to go to eat and what has the best reputation as being the "best".
