Good Question.
For me, as a Catholic, I chose not to use them firstly because they are Illegal and we as Christians are supposed to follow the law of the land unless it is in conflict with God's Law.
I have never herd where smoking Pot is a benefit in God's law.
So I don't smoke Pot.
My personal feeling is that God put Pot on this earth for a reason, in my opinion to help people near death relieve pain.
I also don't smoke Pot because I have seen the long term effects of it on people. Now that I am over 40, I know people who have smoked weed for over 20 years. (Not a pretty sight for the most part)
Peace!

I'm not sure that Jesus said "you make sip from your wine glass, but don't overdrink." Did he?
I don't smoke marijuana for one main reason. I prefer to be able to use my mind for creative purposes like developing solar equipment and sculpting. I don't find being high as conducive to creating new ideas and broadening my interests. I would associate drug use more with a lack of purpose in life and an inability to focus on what gives one's life meaning.
Is it a sin for a Christian? I don't know. I don't know what a sin is. The church in America seems to have a lot of rules, although I can't understand how they can make them with a good conscience.
As far as I understand Christianity, there are no laws and rules. Jesus said that love fulfills the law. So, instead of asking whether it is a sin or not, it would be better for you to examine yourself. If you are a Christian, then does marijuana fit in to your spiritual life? What YOU think is more important than what anybody else thinks.

The Bible doesn't list any of the drug you stated and tell us not to use them but the Bible does say that we are to follow the law of the government that we live in and most governments say that it's illegal. Which makes it a sin. The Bible also talks about you body being a temple and about keeping it pure. I personally feel that by using drugs that would not be keeping it pure but other people may have another opinion about that.

As far as breathing smoke goes, it isn't good for any one to purposely do. What happens when someone gets too much smoke inhalation?
It is written to not drink wine unto drunkenness, instead be overfilled with the Holy Spirit. Drunkenness is mind altering. So to purposely drink, smoke or eat things mind altering, is wrong. Instead be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is a much better high than the other stuff anyway. And there isn't the unhealthy side effects.
For a Christian needs to understand that the body belongs to the Lord and is of the Holy Spirit. It is written to be Holy because God is Holy. We are not our own, but purchased with a price. Christs redeeming blood.
Just to add: It is choosing cigarett peace, after rejecting the God of Peace. It is choosing drugs hallucinogens after rejecting the God of vision. It is choosing drunkedness after rejecting The God of heavenly new wine. So, that is why it is called rebellion and rebellion is same as witchcraft. Witchcraft & Sorcery is also Pharmoica in Greek, meaning drug use. Witchcraft is a form of idolatry.

yes for it deliberately alters your mind and body.
In Jesus' time the water was not really fit for human consumption--actually in many places it still is not
In the Bible he tells us that over indulgence of any sort is what is wrong. Yes then therefore it is alright to sip from your wine since it is mostly the motive behind the sip not the over indulgences. From the get go marijuana and mushrooms and most all other drugs are an over indulgence.

Even if it is, aren't you guys' sins forgiven and paid for?
Isn't that the whole point?!
Or, are you asking if it is a bigger sin and a more hurtful act towards God than some other sins - such as pride and self-righteousness... well exhibited in some of the answers here.

There is evidence that the Romans at the time of Jesus, peace be upon him- knew about the hemp plant. It is possible they used it for a variety of things since they were expert herbalists. I figure they gave it to their slaves to make them docile. The slaves would be lazy and content and would be passive. So that's where it ends up, a-motivational syndrome. No work gets done. They have to go get some more slaves who are not stoned in order to get any work done at all! After a while all of Rome is full of stoned slaves and no work is getting done but they still have to feed them and it's getting expensive to do that. Some are drinking beer too. The grain grown in North africa is feeding this giant stoned drunk population . So they chop down all the trees to grow wheat to make beer and feed the stoned slaves. The repairs on the farms aren't getting done . Things start to break down. The rich don't care they are in their villas eating rare gourmet food.
So then along comes this jewish fellow... named Jesus who tells them Don't worry about the work "follow me". So he gave them a new thing to be addicted to... religion. Religion was better.
Jews probably did not smoke dope in the time of Jesus. It was most likely a pagan custom.
However, if I was a Christian in the arena faceing a lion and a Nile crocodile and a bunch of stoned, drunk fat pagans who were heckleing me I would want to be drugged up. Maybe they did that- who knows? What's your excuse ? Take the money from buying drugs and go feed some orphans!

How do Christians know that Jesus wouldn't do it?
And just because you smoke pot, that doesn't necessarily make you addicted.
