If I bought flowers in bulk online and tried to tie them together would I need to use floral rods to keep them from drooping? Or could I just tie a ribbon around the stems.

If you decide to buy flowers in bulk such as roses.be sure and choose roses that arent open,to make sure they stay fresh, you can insert stiff florist wires in to the head and wrap the wire around the stems, then you can wrap the bunch of stems with ribbon...to make the rose open, you can leave them out of the refridgeratorand they will open at room temperature, mist them with water right before the wedding,it keeps them fresh

buy the foam boards and stick the flowers in those and then wrap the bouquet with a pretty ribbon to tie in with your wedding colors...you can get a holder also from the dollar tree which would help keep them from drooping.

I did not want fake flowers at my wedding but because of expense and dealing with them dying, I did. I used this bouquet tape under the ribbon and I used ivey and hanging flowers under the roses and they came out better than what I could of purchased at any florist. Everybody complemented how lovely they were. Good luck and Congrads!

if the steams are a medium length you can just tie ribbons on them if they are long that you might need floral rods or you can just cut them to length. Make sure you use a ribbon that matches the dresses

My wife made all of our wedding decorations including her boquet. Check my website and click on the wedding bells. Our whole engagement, wedding and honeymoon story is there complete with photos. In the Wedding story you'll find photos of the boquet and other arrangements.

Maybe some of these will help.

Good luck and congrats!
