Why does brawn rule over brain, when it comes to dating?

NO matter if you're a conservative, a liberal, a freethinker, a racist, a xenophyle, etc, the looks almost always overcome the wits, Why is that?

The question comes from this: Ever since I started doing body-building, neighbors who had never turned to look at me suddenly say hello, ask me out and even some dare to.....well; women are nuts.

I dont look at either, usually what attracts me (and alot of other chicks out there!) is a guys ability to make them smile, laugh and feel comfortable in a conversation. I have only ever dated one good looking guy (who im with now) and he is definately a freethinker an part racist lol, hes not brawny at all and weighs only 5 kg more than me (an i only weigh 48kg hahaha)..

if this is the case with most women u know - theyre just shallow b!tches an dont want an actual relationship, just a quick fling on the side..

Not true...

Depends on the age group were dealing with, yes, teenage girls are about cute guys all the way.

After the Italian Stallion types crush their sweet little hearts and break them a few times they begin to look at men differently.

By the time they are in their late 20's they realize that an intelligent man might perhaps provide better for them because he probably makes more money.

Later in life the relationships can have little to do with looks and almost all about companionship and lifestyle commonality.

If you're having trouble now, hang in there YOUR DAY WILL COME.

Maybe for the younger crowd or for those who are already financially secure that is true. But I have personally witnessed several women leave there new bo-hunks because a, they couldn't afford to keep them in the lifestyle that they were accustomed to and b, the lack of intelligent conversation can be deafening.

At first maybe but it gets fairly boring just staring at someone sooner or later. I have to say i can't seem to overcome starring at an attractive man but if i talk to him and he's an idiot his looks suddenly diminish. Everyone has a different opioion on what is attractive and what is not. Best of luck to you.

The looks catch your attention intially, because we humans are visual creatures. What one does after that depends on the individual...many are quite capable of appreciating a good view, but realizing whether or not there is anything worth wanting to get to know beyond that.

It is called biology. For a billion years the strongest one was the most likely to survive so that is what attracted the opposate sex. A couple of thousand years of civilization can't undo a billion years of evolution.

Not true. It may usually start off with looks, but it ends up with whatever else you've got left. And if you don't have anything else but looks, you're not going to get very far. Lucky, I've got pretty much the whole package...

Well you have to be physically attracted to a guy to have anything. I mean if you don't feel that he is cute, then you'll never be anything more than friends. However, i can tell you from personal experience that it is always great to have a guy who is smart and doesn't need his mother, wife, sister, etc to think and make decisions for him.

I am confused about the same thing
