how do you know when the guy really means it when he says he loves you?

That is a tough one. You gotta go with your gut I suppose and even then it might turn out in the end not to have been the real thing.
Either way, enjoy it. Get caught up in it, revel in it. Experience the whirlwind of feeling loved while you can. It is a dear and precious experience.

If it ends, at least you lived it to the fullest and got as much of that high as you could.

It really is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I would say for the moment you can only guess as much as close based on the way he show.

but that still doesn't mean that he really means what he said.

I believe action speak louder than words.

if he truly love you, then his actions will show you.

if not, a lot of time. Man/guys are like that, they mean it in that moment they said "I love you" but later on, they dont' feel it anymore or they swtich mood.

so don't expect that he say few time I love you will last forever. take everyone moment and cherish it but be prepare anyday thing could change. that's life.

And someone once told me you know if a boy really loves you or not because if he does then he says he loves you slowly.. but if he doesn't then he says it really fast.. whether or not that's true I don't know, but it kind of makes sense you know?

And you know because they do stuff for you, take care of you, buy you stuff just to be kind, and how he treats you good, etc.

Depends on what he means when he says he loves you. men and women seem to have different ideas about what love is and what it means so... first find out what he means when he says it and then look for signs of him showing it whether it is friendship love,physical love or truly love.

saying is only words coming out of a person's mouth. you wont be able to tell if he mean it or not by just saying it to you. anybody can say the 3 words easily. but to know if he mean it or not, you have to look and observe his actions. his actions should be able to tell you if he mean it or not. that's what my gf told me. i always tell her i love her but she always tell me to prove it. the way to know if he mean it or not is by seeing if he calls you often, always tell you beforehand if he's going to be busy and not be able to tlk to you. does not make you wait for him. does not make you mad all the time and if he always tell you the truth even if its something that you might not like. those are just some examples for a person to know if he mean it or not.
