I think it means don't point the finger at other people - take responsibility for what you do, For example, if you screw up, cop to it, learn from it, move on, and don't blame or vent out at other people.

Sometimes, the hardest thing for people to do is admit they made a mistake. It is very liberating, however, to just say "Ooops, sorry, my fault ... won't happen again" instead of saying (or telling an outright lie): "It wasn't MY fault, Jane did it!"

the phrase as I know it is "You made your bed, now lie in it." It means that you set up a negative situation, now you have to deal with it. For example, if you lied to your boss, and he caught you, now you have to deal with the consequences of your behavior.

Taken literally--if you do a bad job of making your bed--you're the guy who is going to have to sleep in it. (Take responsibility etc., as the others have said.) I had a friend who used to say, when things went badly: "I have only myself to blame for this sorry state of affairs"--which I like better!

It means that you must be responsible for your actions. It's been applied to a number of situations, but I hear it most often when a young girl gets unexpectedly pregnant.
