The same violence in the Bible, is in the Quran. They teach the same lessons, and is meant for self-defence.
The Quran doesn't teach more, nor the bible teach more. But of course people of different religions will be biased and say the other is bad, without looking at what the bible or Quran is really trying to say.

Have you read in the red letter addition where anyone is to go about chopping off heads? Or maybe love your enemies versus slay the infidels... I am biased of course, because I have read the Bible, I study Judaism and Christianity. Recently I have been studying Islam. The sight is not pretty. They are the new kids on the block concerning their arrival in religion. But, they have made a lot of headway, or should I say heads sway....By the sword that is!
"Akbar Allah Boom!"
World History has in its annals genocides and atrocities committed by all three major religions. However, I would like to bring light to the atrocities attributed to the Christians are mainly done by the Roman Catholics...and any student of the Scriptures can point out more doctrinal issues concerning that bunch. But, none the less they have painted Christianity in dim light.
But in general, the Peace Joy and Righteousness taught by Christ, is not the same violence taught and promoted by the mu'amadeans.

properly, I constantly opt to maintain a netural view. there are various examples or people who switched over TO Islam after 9/11. And there are various that left it. yet for somebody to attain a bring about accordance with Jihadists is like reaching the tip that Christianity is evil based on the KKK. particular, certainly you spot pictures of radical Islamists on television burning the yankee flag. yet in actual actuality, the media is BIASED. and that i understand for a actuality that, that the place I stay, Muslims have held non violent protests and condemned the fundamentalism. yet did that get on television? Did that make important headlines? No, on no account. Infact, no one is familiar with approximately it. that's why maximum human beings assumed that Muslims do no longer do something approximately it. additionally, i think of each and every faith has had their shifty classes. what's significant to word is that returned interior the circumstances of the super Islamic empires, Christians and Jews lived peacefully. greater effective than ever till now. Up untill the crusades of direction. yet, i will understand how preceptions exchange. Mine have, however the will for me to stay unbiased purely keeps bringing me returned to work out the best in certian issues. **there are various good issues approximately this faith. It replaced into formed to abolish slavery, to deliver justice and equality to ladies human beings. opposite to the image portrayed. And that's a faith for each individual. no longer purely for the infants of Israel, yet for mankind. **

Christians and Jews don't seem to follow the violent parts as thoroughly as Muslims though.
Question: If it comes up to violence against people of other faith, is the Bible really the better book?
No it isn't, but Western culture is the better culture in that sense.
