In my Department all you need is time on the job and skill. You can put in for the DEA job and if you get it you would be trained. The SWAT job you have to have good shooting skills to get that job.

You will need a 4 year degree in order to work with the DEA or have law enforcement expeirence. There is also a age requirement min and max for the DEA. As for SWAT you have to spend time on the force and than train for it.

Need a Bachelor's degree for any federal law enforcement job.
The SWAT job will vary by department. And you won't graduate the police academy and go straight to SWAT. You will have to do some time on the street first.
