Christians use the two the OT and the NT. To us, the OT is a great deal of prophecy (that's located out in NT cases). it is likewise a chronicle by applying the prophets of what existence become like, and likewise the Mosaic regulation. of direction the OT is there--it quite is the commencing up of the religion as properly as a history e book.

The 'stuff' that is no longer in effect is the law of Moses, (starting Exodus20-Deut. 27) which is the scriptural old testament; not the unscriptural 'old testament' (Genesis-Malachi). Does that help clear things up a bit presently for you?

EXACTLY! That business about not touching swine we can ignore, especially to play football or have Christmas ham, and the part about stoning children who disrespect their parents? Obviously not important. However, if there's anything there about homosexuality or a mistranslation about witches? Look out!
